Zelma "Sue" Thomas Harrison, age 78, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Harrison was a registered nurse at Trigg County Hospital for 25 years, as well as a teacher at Trigg County High School for 23 years, where she taught health occupations classes. She was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Claude Robert Harrison, Jr. (Ellen), The Hague, Netherlands, and Victor Eric Harrison (Carmen), Hopkinsville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, John Lyons-Harrison, El Paso, Texas, Daniel Lyons-Harrison, Utrecht, The Netherlands, Sarah Burton, Henrico, Virginia, Amber Harrison and Ashley Harrison, both of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Ralph Thomas (Helen) and Anthony "Tony" Thomas, both of Cadiz; and one sister, Peggy Tomlin (Jimmy), Thompsons Station, Tennessee. She was also adopted as a grandmother by Mallorie and Maddison Godair, both of Cadiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Ethylene Cotton Thomas, and her husband, Claude Harrison, Sr.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Graveside funeral services will be at Trigg Memory Acres at 1:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2017 with the Reverend Kyle Noffsinger officiating, with burial to follow.
