Woodson Harper, age 86, of Kuttawa, KY, a native of Trigg Co., KY, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015, at Covington's Convalescent Center in Hopkinsville, KY. Mr. Harper operated a family farm in Lyon Co & Trigg Co., KY. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton, KY & a long time member of Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for a number of years. He was also a member of the Woodman of the World, Chapter 20. He is survived by: Wife of 65 years - Myrtle Candler Harper, Kuttawa, KY, One Son - Dale Harper & wife, Dale Laney, Owensboro, KY, One Daughter - Joan Baldree & husband, Mike, West Palm Beach, FL, One Sister - Geneva Wyatt, West Frankfort, IL, Six Grandchildren- Jennifer Witherspoon & husband, Joe, Emily Sargent & husband, Patrick, John Baldree, Anita Harper, Thomas Harper & wife, Sarah, Benjie Harper & wife, Kathy, Eight Great Grandchildren- Logan Thomas, Brian Sargent, Matthew Sargent, Kaleb Baldree, Riley Harper, Addison Harper, Taylor Butts, Avery Harper. He was preceded in death by: Parents - George & Ethel Marshall Cummins Harper, Three Brothers- Earl Harper, Roy Harper & Noble Harper, One Sister - Frances Harper. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2015 with the Reverend Darrell Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Caldwell Co., KY.
