Wilton H. Lancaster, Jr.

Wilton H. Lancaster, Jr., age 78, of Cerulean, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at his home in Cerulean, KY.  Mr. Lancaster was the co-founder of Lancaster Cabinetry in Hopkinsville, KY; previously owned the Cadiz Restaurant in Cadiz, KY; and a former partner in T & L Trucking in Cerulean, KY.  He was a longtime member of Cerulean Baptist Church in Cerulean, KY where he served as a church trustee.  He retired from the Kentucky National Guard with 33 years of service and accumulated 79 awards and commendations, the most earned by a Kentucky soldier.  Among those were two presidential citations and the prestigious "Philip A. Connelly Award".  Mr. Lancaster had a passion for the outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish.  He was a founding member of the Cadiz Bass Club & for many years accompanied his family on hunting trips to the Midwest and Canada. Scranton & husband, Andy, Cerulean, KY, Connie Jo Lancaster, Hopkinsville, KY, Three Sisters- Genella Campbell, Hopkinsville, KY, Gustie Green, Hopkinsville, KY, Dorothy Decker, Churubusco, IN, Sixteen Grandchildren & Spouses- Carl & Alexa Coleman, Marcus & Erin Gresham, Josh & Laura Lancaster, Megan & Ryan Johnson, Jena & Owen Kyler, Matthew Gresham, Jessica & Preston Humphries, Elliot Shepard, Skylier Shepard, Shelby Lancaster, Dylan Lancaster, Trey Lancaster, Leah Putty, Colt Lancaster, Dalton Lancaster, Brandi & Alex Wiseman,  Fourteen Great Grandchildren-Samuel Lancaster, Carsen Gresham, Dixie Smith, Dixon Henderson, Tatum Johnson, Caden Johnson, Roman Johnson, Makayla Humphries, Bryce Humphries, Jace Wiseman, Dakota Coleman, Cordell Douglas, Travis Douglas, Lauren Lanham.  He was preceded in death by: Parents- Wilton Henry Lancaster, Sr. & Mildred Francis Lancaster, a daughter - Sharon Ginn & a sister - Janice Davie.  Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2015.  Funeral  Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2015 with the Reverend Reed Shepherd, Reverend Greg Giltner & Reverend Gary Mitchell officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Cerulean Cemetery in Cerulean, KY.  Memorial Contributions can be made to:  Pennyroyal Hospice, 220 Burley Avenue, Hopkinsville, KY 42240 or the Cerulean Baptist Church, PO Box 86, Cerulean, KY 42215.
