Shelvia (Curling) Bridges, age 71, of Hopkinsville, Ky., died Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Ky. Mrs. Bridges retired from the Trigg County Circuit Clerks office where she was a deputy clerk. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by a special friend Larry Meredith of Hopkinsville, KY, sons & daughters in law Ricky & Tammy Bridges & David Paul & Leslie Bridges both of Cadiz, KY. Step Son David Armstrong, Hopkinsville, KY, three step daughters, Jennifer & Larry Plants of Hopkinsville, Ky., Tracey & Johnnie Wagoner of Hopkinsville, Ky., & Tosha & Robert McKay of Hopkinsville, Ky., grandchildren, Bridget & Alan Ray Skinner, Kyle Bridges, Zackary Bridges, Colten Bridges, step grandchildren Meredith Keller, Cheyenne Maxey, Maddion McKay, Kaitlyn McKay, Jonathan Wagoner, Bryan Wagoner, Kaitlin Wagoner, great grandchild Dillon Ray Skinner. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul & Lurline (Lyons) Curling, brother Billy Earl Curling, sister Margaret Hillman. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, with Jamus Redd officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Trigg County, Ky.
