Sharon Allen, age 50, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville. Mrs. Allen enjoyed camping and fishing and accompanying her husband, Dennis, while he worked as a truck driver on cross country trips.
She is survived by: her husband of 25 years - Dennis Allen, Hopkinsville; two sons - Matthew Harper and Jonathan Harper, both of Princeton, Kentucky; one daughter - Lacey Carter (Mark), Nortonville, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; five brothers - Roy Eugene Tyler, Owensboro, Kentucky; William Franklin Tyler, Jr., Eddyville, Kentucky; Randy Bannister, Princeton; Larry Bannister, Benton, Kentucky; and James Bannister, Eddyville; two sisters - Melissa Tyler, Eddyville; and Brandy Bartee, Orlando, Florida; and step father - Anthony Bannister, Eddyville.
She was preceded in death by: her father - William Franklin "Frankie" Tyler, Sr., and her mother - Kathryn Bannister.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, Kentucky, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. The funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2017, with Pastor Jimmy Lantrip officiating. Burial will follow at Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Caldwell County, Kentucky.
