Robert Miller

Robert W. "Red" Miller, age 83, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home in Cadiz, KY.  Mr. Miller retired from Johnson Controls, Inc. after working 37 years as a Fork Lift Operator.  He was a member of Buffalo Lick Baptist Church in Gracey, KY, served in the US Army, and was a long time volunteer member & Board Member of Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department in Trigg County, KY. He is survived by: one daughter - Lori Latham & husband, Doug, Cadiz, KY; four grandchildren - Douglas Latham, III & wife, Shea; Damon Latham; Stephanie Latham; and Kristina Latham Walsh & husband, Patrick; five great grandchildren - Rudy Brashears, Bentley Latham, Mia Latham, Christopher Walsh, and Zackary Eadens; one brother - Carl Ray Miller & wife, Lucy Helen, Cadiz, KY; three sisters - Rebecca Hall, Cadiz, KY; Ruby Jo Shanklin & husband, Gene, Hopkinsville, KY; and twin sister - Rowena Rawlins, Gracey, KY.  He was preceded in death by: parents - Jim & Lucy Kemp Miller; wife - Dorothy Holder Miller; one son - Darrin Miller; one brother - David Miller; and four sisters - Flora Stewart Bell, Dorothy Ladd, Mabel Wells, and Betty Ladd.  Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016.  Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at  11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 with the Reverend Steve Hibbs officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, KY.  Memorial Contributions can be made to:  Pennyroyal Hospice, 220 Burley Avenue, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.

Lori, so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Remember the good times and all the memories you have made and they will help you get though this. I know what you are going thru. I lost my dad 19 years yesterday.
