Norris G. Mitchell

Norris G. Mitchell, age 77, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014, at his home in Trigg Co., KY.  Mr. Mitchell worked as a life insurance agent and retired after 38 years while working for American General Life Insurance Company.  He was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church in Cadiz, KY. He is survived by: Wife of 58 years - Cora Mitchell, Cadiz, KY, One Son - Keith Mitchell & wife, Stacey, Hendersonville, TN, Two Daughters- Belinda "Lanie" Johnson & husband, Corky, Cadiz, KY,  Pamela McCallon & husband, Don, Navarre, FL, Six Grandchildren- Patrick Johnson & wife, Carey, Brian Johnson & wife, Jeri Lynn, Eric Mitchell, Isaac Mitchell, Christy Wood & Elizabeth Mitchell, Three Great Grandchildren- Maddie Johnson, Eva Johnson & Emerson Johnson, One Brother - Earl Fowler, Jr. & wife, Barbara, Cadiz, KY, Three Sisters- Margie Oliver, Paducah, KY, Carolyn Henderson, Cadiz, KY & Judy Bridges & husband, Joe, Cadiz, KY, Brothers-In-Law & Sisters-In-Law- Robert Earl & Thelma Fowler, Joe & Joyce Anderson, Randy & Carolyn Freeman, Tommy Creamer.  He was preceded in death by: Father - Gentry Mitchell, Mother - Alpha Curtis Mitchell Fowler, Step Father - Millard Fowler & Granddaughter - Jennifer Johnson.  Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.  Funeral  Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at  11:00 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2014.  Burial will follow at Boyd Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.  Memorial Contributions can be made to:  Alzheimer's Association Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana, 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205 or the Kirby Family & Friends Relay for Life Team, C/O-Carolyn Freeman, 1292 Kings Chapel Road, Cadiz, KY 42211.
