Lacy Ray Wallis

Lacy Ray Wallis, age 73, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at his home in Cadiz, KY.  Mr. Wallis worked for 37 years with Johnson Controls in Cadiz Ky starting as an assembly line worker and retiring as Supervisor. After his time there he worked for American National Rubber in Cadiz, Ky and U.S. Tobacco Warehouse in Hopkinsville, KY and was currently employed with Lake Barkley State Park at the campground.  Lacy Ray was always an avid hunter and fisherman often supplying friends and co-workers with the benefits of his catch & harvest. He is survived by: One Brother - Randy "Goose" Wallis, Cadiz, KY, One Nephew - Chris Wallis, Trigg Co., KY, Two Great Nieces- Olivia Lenox Wallis & Brooke Lynne Wallis, Two Uncles- Doug Wallis, Fort Wayne, IN & Clifford Wallis, Louisville, KY, Special Family- Todd & Tammy Cain, Cadiz, KY.  He was preceded in death by: Parents - Carl Wallis & Edith Russell Wallis.  Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2015.  Funeral  Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Friday, May 8, 2015 with the Reverend Danny Mitcheson officiating.  Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in Trigg Co., KY.  Memorial Contributions can be made to: Siloam Cemetery Fund , C/O-James Adams, Jr., 1808 Siloam Road, Cadiz, KY 42211.

So sorry to hear of Lacy Ray's passing. He was such a sweet, gentle man and has always held a special place in our hearts. We moved from Cadiz many years ago, but have never forgotten him. Lots of good times.

Randy I was saddened to hear of the news. The thought of Lacy Ray brings back so many special child hood memories for me.

So sorry to hear of the passing of a long time friend. I worked with Lacy Ray at Johnson Controls for many years. He was one fine person and co-worker. My prayers to Goose. I know how much Lacy Ray loved you. My condolences to you and family!
