Kathleen Reddick Hall, age 97, of Kuttawa, KY, a native of Cadiz, KY, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa, KY. Mrs. Hall grew up in the Blue Spring/Caldwell community and graduated from Cobb High School. She went on to attend and graduate from Draughon's Business College in Paducah, Kentucky. After graduating from Draughon's Business College, she worked at Oak Ridge, Tennessee during World War II. In the 1950's, she and her husband, Stanley, operated Hall's Cafe in Cadiz. She retired from Thomas Industries in Hopkinsville, Kentucky after working 25 years as bookkeeper. She was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church for over 60 years. Kathleen Reddick Hall was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. Her self-discipline and good health habits were an inspiration to those whose lives she touched. She enjoyed reading, quilting, her church, her TOPS group, and she was totally devoted to her cat companion, Dia. Her family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Christian Care Center of Kuttawa, her TOPS friends, and her special friend and neighbor, Loucretia Ricks. She is survived by: two daughters- Diane Oakley Scott & husband, Randall, Princeton, KY; and Pat Hall, Louisville, KY; three granddaughters - Robin Halliday & husband, Garry; Heather Ward; Whitney Smurawa & husband, Donnie; seven great grandchildren - Leslee Risley, Lacie Bielecki, Jim Ward, Casey Ward, Abby Ward, Jake Oakley, and Garek Smurawa; and six great great grandchildren - Taylor Risley, Andrew Risley, Jackson Risley, Alia Leitner, Dylan Leitner, and Kaelynn Bielecki. She was preceded in death by: parents - Homer & Artha Barnett Reddick; husband - Bryan Stanley Hall; one sister - Mildred Inus Reddick; son-in-law - Lyndon "Bill" Oakley; and grandson-in-law - Hugh Ward. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, July 1, 2016, with the Reverend Kevin Roberts & Reverend Clay Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Caldwell Co., KY.
