Johnny Ahart, age 62, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN.  Mr. Ahart retired as a maintenance technician from the Trigg Co. Housing Authority and had worked many years as an independent building contractor.  He was a member of South Union Baptist Church in Trigg Co., KY. He is survived by: Two Sons & Daughters-In-Law- Brian & Wendy Ahart, Cadiz, KY, Chad & Kelly Ahart, Cadiz, KY,  Five Grandchildren- Hannah Ahart, Nick Ahart, CJ Ahart, Dallas Ahart & Tyler Ahart, Two Bothers- Mike Calhoun, IN & Keith Calhoun, Cadiz, KY, Two Sisters-Debbie Calhoun, Cadiz, KY & Sharon Schoettlin, IN, Special Friend - Tiffany Ervin, Hopkinsville, KY.  He was preceded in death by: Father - James Ward Futrell, Mother - Venida Kathleen Ahart Calhoun, Wife - Cheryl Lynne Ahart & One Sister - Donna Jean Calhoun. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2014.  Funeral  Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at  10:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2014.  Burial will follow at Fuller Cemetery in Trigg Co., KY.  Memorial Contributions can be made to:  Cadiz Gideon Camp, PO Box 65, Cadiz, KY 42211.
