Howard "Tommy" Skinner, age 72, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz. Mr. Skinner retired from Pennyrile Electric Cooperative in Cadiz, where he worked as an Electrical Lineman. He was a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church in Trigg County. Mr. Skinner was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. In recent years, you would often find him delivering homemade baked bread and cakes to many local friends, businesses, and nursing homes.
He is survived by two daughters, Myra Cornelius of Cadiz, Kentucky, and Dianna Savetman (Pablo) of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Austin Hart and Garrett Hart, both of Cerulean, Kentucky, and David Savetman and Madison Savetman, both of Orlando, Florida; two brothers, Tony Skinner of Inlet Beach, Florida, and Kevin Skinner (Kay) of Cadiz; four sisters, Becky Smith of Gainesboro, Tennessee, Melba Futrell of Cadiz, Barbara Fowler (James) of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Karen Adams (James, Jr.) of Cadiz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Adell Thomas Skinner; his wife of 50 years, Annette Hughes Skinner; one sister, Teresa Jane Skinner; and brother-in-law, Billy Futrell.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Monday, August 28, 2017. The funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Burial will follow at Futrell - Skinner Cemetery in Trigg County.
