Howard Baker

Howard Baker, age 92, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY.  Mr. Baker was a life-long farmer who was known for his family dairy cattle operation that he managed for over 30 years.  He was a long-time member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Trigg County, KY.

He is survived by: his wife - Grace Henderson Baker, Cadiz, KY; three sons - Alan Baker & wife, Connie, Cadiz, KY; Ivan Baker & wife, Barbara, Hopkinsville, KY; and Ernie Baker & wife, Jennifer, Cadiz, KY;  daughter-in-law - Marie Baker, Cadiz, KY; step daughter - Carolyn Merrick & husband, Leroy, Cadiz, KY; twelve grandchildren - Robert Baker & wife, Mandy; Alex Baker & wife, Amy; Curtis Baker & wife, Kate; Paxton Baker; Collin Baker & wife, Taryn; Toby Baker; Matt Baker & wife, Wendy; Amanda Baker; Macy Baker; Andrea Holmes & husband, Jason; Tara Davenport & husband, Trey; Tasha Harris & husband, Bobby; eleven great grandchildren - Katie Baker, Lucy Baker, Micah Baker, Cody Baker, Shiloh Baker, Campbell Baker, Bennett Baker, Ashton Baker, Tristen Davenport, Ty Davenport, and Silas Harris;  step daughter-in-law - Penny Mitchell;  sister-in-law - Jo Nell Baker, Cadiz, KY; nephew - Brad Baker; and niece - Tracy Fargo.  He was preceded in death by: his parents - Alex & Vera Noel Baker; wife - Mary Nell Wade Baker; one son - Bruce Baker; step son - Ray Henderson; and brother - Thomas Baker.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, KY, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2016.  The funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2016, with the Reverend Richard Sexton officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt.  Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Trigg County, KY.

Connie and Alan We are so sorry for your loss. He fought a good fight, now with the Lord. We have doctor appointment in Nashville tomorrow so we will not be able to see you, but our prayers are with you guys.
