Hazel Thomas Oliver, age 96, of Hopkinsville, KY, a native of Cadiz, KY, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY.  Mrs. Oliver was the owner of the former White Eagle Cafe & Hazel's Place.  She had also worked as a river barge cook for Crounse Corporation and also as a private duty nurse.  She was a member of Rocky Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by:  Three Sons & Daughter-In-Law- Robert W. "Bucky" Oliver, Cadiz, KY, Johnnie H. & Joan Oliver, Cadiz, KY & Lacy M. Oliver, Cadiz, KY, Two Daughters & Sons-In-Law- June & Troy Robnett, Hopkinsville, KY & Delilah & Billy Dawson, Cadiz, KY, Eight Grandchildren- Tony Oliver, Shannon Oliver Collins, Tina Robnett Larson, John T. Oliver, Heath Dawson, Dawn Oliver Bailey, Gina Robnett Hickson & Johnathon Oliver, 24 Great Grandchildren-Shelby Oliver, Tyler Arnold, Travis Collins, Trevor Collins, Troy McKay Larson, Paisley Larson, Kiersten Larson, Reagan Larson, John Thomas Oliver, Cayla Hickson, Mason Hickson, Leiah Hickson, Connor Hickson, Reece Hickson, Lily Hickson, Morgan Hickson, Lance Hickson, Chase Hickson, Hensley Hickson, Billy Dawson, Christian Dawson, Payton Bailey, Alexa Bailey & Bodhi Bailey, One Great Great Grandchild- Lynnette Perez.  She was preceded in death by: Father - James Thomas, Mother - Palestine Futrell Thomas, Husband - Robert W. Oliver, One Granddaughter - Leigh Ann Oliver, One Grandson - Jason Oliver, Four Brothers- Claude Thomas, Ruba Thomas, Hurvey Thomas & John Thomas, Two Sisters- Meda Thomas Burcham Tooke & Adell Thomas Skinner, One Half Brother - Albert Thomas & Two Half Sisters-Olie Taylor & Lona Skinner. 

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014.  A Memorial Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014 with Craig Larson officiating.  Burial will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.  In Lieu of flowers Mrs. Oliver had requested that you do a kind deed for someone in need.
