Hazel Anderson of Fulshear, Texas was born on August 13, 1928 in McVeigh, Kentucky to Nelson and Bertha Smith James. In April 1944, she married Herman Anderson in Alabama. She has lived in Fulshear for 17 years and was a member of the Needville Community Church. Hazel was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Hazel Anderson passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013, in a Katy hospital, in Katy, Texas at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her husband, Herman Anderson of Fulshear; daughter, Linda Davis of Cadiz, Kentucky; son, David Anderson and his wife Donna of Houston; grandchildren, Alena Anderson and Douglas Davis; great grandchildren, Zachary Welle, Benjamin Welle, and Grace Davis; brothers and sisters, Nelson James, Jr. of Pikeville, Kentucky, Roy James of Ohio, June Harper and her husband Marshall of Mayfield, Kentucky, Clyde James of Belfry, Kentucky, and Rhonda Smith of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Tracy Welle. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Katy, Texas where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, with Rev. Monty Kelley officiating. Also, the family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM. at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz, Kentucky where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday with Rev. Gene Oller officiating. Burial will take place at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, Kentucky. Those wishing to make memorial gifts may do so to the Susan G.
