Glenda Williams Pepper

Glenda Williams Pepper, age 80, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY.  Mrs. Pepper retired as Vice President of Bookkeeping at First State Bank in Calumet City, IL.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Trigg County, KY.

She is survived by: her husband - Jerry Pepper, Cadiz, KY; two step sons - Jerry Lynn Pepper & wife, Connie, Raleigh, NC; Scottie Pepper & wife, April, Raleigh, NC; one step daughter - Angela Pepper, Raleigh, NC;  and several nieces and nephews - Carolyn Bland, Gail Powell, Brenda Ledford, Robin Ford-Stagner, Carl Ray Sumner, Darrell Sumner, and Gary Williams, all of Trigg County; and Shirley Haas, Rita Hearn, Karen Trask, Linda Winters, and Kathy Boyce, all of Granite City, IL.   She was preceded in death by:  her parents - Maynard & Dorothy Mize Williams; her husband - James Louis Hancock; infant daughter - Jeanette Grant; two brothers - Carl Williams and Garnett Williams; four sisters - Maxine Ford, Eulala Sumner, Geneva Williams, and Norma Jean Williams; one niece - Cheryl Ahart; and three nephews - Jerry Ford, Tony Ford, and Gary Sumner.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, KY, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2016.  The funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 with the Reverend Paul Cannon officiating.  Burial will follow at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, KY.

I just wanted to say how sorry I was to have heard of Glenda's death. Distance prevented our ever being close, though cousins. I spoke to her by phone about three months ago, and we had a very congenial conversation. Wish I had called her after hearing about her 80th birthday party. I will ever regret not doing that! Our sympathies...
