Gari Lynn Hancock, age 48, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at her residence in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Mrs. Gari Lynn Hancock was a Licensed Practical Nurse, where she graduated from Madisonville Community College. Mrs. Hancok was of the Catholic Faith. She is survived by her husband - Craig Hancock of Hopkinsville, KY, daughter - Jessica Bender of Hopkinsville, KY, son - Benjamin Powell of Hopkinsville, KY, step son - Brandon Hancock of Fort Benning, GA, step daughter - Chelsea Hancock of Hopkinsville, KY, three brothers - James Rodney Keller, David Keller, Hank Keller, her parents James Gray Keller and Martha Gene Keller of Fort Walton Beach, FL, four grandchild - Francis Bender, Sara Jane Bender, Jaysen Hancock, and Jaxsen Hancock. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 16, 2014 with the Father Joseph Babu officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Lick Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY. Memorial Contributions can be made to The Mayo Clinic at Department of Development Mayo Clinic 200 First Street SW Rochester, MN 55905.

Oh Gari, I am so sorry to hear of this news. You were a sweet person and will truly be missed. I know Heaven gained an Angel to look down on all of us. God Bless your family during this time of Sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with Gari at Westwood. She was an excellent nurse that showed our residents & staff the true meaning of being a nurse. She was kind, compassionate & funny.
