Franklin Skinner, Sr., age 86, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013, at Kindred Hospital Nashville in Nashville, TN. Mr. Skinner had operated a taxi service in Cadiz, Ky, known as Frankie's Cab and also in Hopkinsville and Ft. Campbell, KY. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY and was a Korean War US Army veteran. He is survived by: Two Daughters & Son-In-Law- Judy Seago, Hopkinsville, KY & Kathy & Lawrence Greenier, Hopkinsville, KY, Two Sons-Franklin Skinner, Jr., Hopkinsville, KY & Tim Skinner, Hopkinsville, KY, One Brother - W.C. Skinner, Cadiz, KY, One Sister - Chrisitne Adams, Cadiz, KY, Nine Grandchildren- April Kushner Green, Michael Kushner, T.K. Greenier, Daniel Skinner, Leigh Ann McCormick, Frankie Skinner, Katherine Skinner, December Skinner & Taylor Skinner, Fourteen Great Grandchildren- Colby, Chandler, Carson, Caleb & Cade Green, Michael Dylan & Chance Michael Kushner, Brooklynn Noble Skinner, Eli Timothy White, Malea, Samuel, Pace, Bailey & Bonica McCormick. He was preceded in death by: Father - Walter Calvin Skinner, Mother - Lona Mae Thomas Skinner, Wife - Winnie Hunter Skinner, Brother - Lacy Skinner Two Sisters- Virginia Collier & Pauline Bridges, One Brother In Law - Willie Seago.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 6, 2013 with the Reverend David Tucker officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.
