Dr. David Scott Freeman, age 44, of Hopkinsville, KY, a native of Cadiz, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at his home in Hopkinsville, KY. Dr. David Freeman grew up in Trigg County where he graduated from Trigg County High School in 1987. He then went to college at the University of Kentucky. After college, Dr. Freeman attended dental school at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry from 1991-1995. While in dental school Dr. Freeman excelled and finished in the top 10 of his graduating class. After dental school Dr. Freeman joined the United States Air Force where he served 1 year in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Offut Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. He then spent the next 2 years in the Air Force stationed at Warner-Robins Air Force Base in Warner-Robins, Georgia. Since leaving the Air Force in 1998, Dr. Freeman has been practicing Family Dentistry and Orthodontics in Cadiz, Kentucky. He is active in the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association as well as the West Central Dental Society. He is a member of New Work Fellowship in Hopkinsville, KY where he participates in their Haiti Missions Team.He was an avid tennis player that participated in the Pennyrile Area Tennis Association. He is survived by: Wife - Karla Cunningham Freeman, Hopkinsville, KY, Two Daughters- Kloe Patricia Danielle Freeman, Hopkinsville, KY & Kelse Lois Scott Freeman, Hopkinsville, KY, Parents- Ewing & Bonnie Freeman, Cadiz, KY, One Brother- Dr. Todd & Wife, Dr. Joanna Freeman, Cadiz, KY. He was preceded in death by: Paternal Grandparents- Sam Thomas & Ora Freeman & Maternal Grandparents- Cline & Blue Belle Fowler. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 and at New Work Fellowship in Hopkinsville, KY, Saturday, April 12 from 11:00 AM until the funeral time of 1:00 PM. Funeral Service will be at New Work Fellowship, 5050 Canton Pike, Hopkinsville, KY at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 with the Reverend Kevin Lee & Reverend Russ Davidson officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, KY.
