Dorris Ray Price

Dorris Ray Price, age 60, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017, at his home in Cadiz.  Mr. Price retired after working 40 years as an independent commercial truck driver.  He was a volunteer firefighter with East Golden Pond Fire Department in Trigg County and a member of East Cadiz Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Brenda Price, Cadiz; four brothers, Robert (Nila Jean) Price, Jr., Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Wayne (Nancy) Price, Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, and Kenny (Susan) Price and Randy (Regina) Price, both of Hopkinsville; four sisters, Cathy (Danny) Houchens, Elizabeth Fields, and Barbara (Richard) Reed, all of Hopkinsville, and Joyce Sims, Hamilton, Texas; father-in-law, Ed Bartsch, Hopkinsville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Delmon Henderson, Hopkinsville, Janice Bartsch, Elkton, Kentucky, Virginia (Billy) White, Hopkinsville, and John (Betsy) Bartsch, Bowling Green, Kentucky; and special friends, Barbara Tucker, Edna Pitzer, and Alesha Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Price, Sr. and Lorine Jackson Price; one sister, Mildred Henderson; mother-in-law, Florence Bartsch; and brother-in-law, Henry Bartsch.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017.  A memorial service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017, with the Reverend Joe K. Johnson and Reverend Kenny Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
