Dorothy Sue Rogers, age 71, of Cerulean, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Mrs. Rogers retired in 1993 after working 17 years as a machine operator at Flynn Enterprises in Hopkinsville. She was a member of Hopkinsville Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gene Rogers, Cerulean; five sons, Mark (Regina)Rogers, Newark, Texas, Micky (Andrea) Rogers, Larry Dale (Suzy) Rogers, and Randy (Debbie) Rogers, all of Cerulean, and Jimmy (Karen) Rogers, Cadiz, Kentucky; one daughter, Lisa (Anthony) Goodwin, Cerulean; one sister, Carolyn Lehman, Hopkinsville; 18 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Murl and Charlotte Gray Perry; one daughter, Kimberly Utley; and two sisters, Merlin Ladd and Judy Reddick.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Graveside funeral services will be at Cerulean Cemetery, 210 Church Street, Cerulean, at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 27, 2017, with P.J. Hicks officiating.
