Mrs. Dennie Mergenthal, age 75, of Cadiz, Ky., died Friday, December 4, 2009, at her home in Cadiz, Ky. She was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church where she had served as a Sacristant, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Usher and Server. She was on the board of directors of the Trigg Co. Humane Society, was a member of the Cadiz Lion's Club & the VFW auxiliary, volunteer with Pennyroyal Hospice, member at large of the Hopkinsville Lioness Club and she was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Claude Mergenthal of Cadiz, KY; Three Daughters, Beth Craft of Florence, Ky., Pamela Frazier of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Carol Kirby of Cincinnati, OH, One Son & Daughter-In-Law, Donald & Mary Ann Frazier of Hopkinsville, Ky. Five Grandchildren-Shawn Craft, Aime Craft, Tori Kirby, Levi Kirby and John Johnson, Special Friend- Marie Fording of Hemet, CA. She was preceded in Death by: Father-Raymond E. Gentry and Mother-Alice (Grubbs) Gentry, Brother-Raymond Gentry, Two Sisters-Mildred Overfield and Mary Keller. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, December 6, 2009 with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at St. Stephens Catholic Church of Cadiz, KY at 12:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2009 , Father Richard Cash and Father Joseph Babu officiating. Interment will be at St. Henry's Catholic Church Cemetery in Aurora, Ky. Memorial contributions can take the form of donations to the Trigg Co.
