Charles C. Williams

Charles C. Williams, age 78, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  Mr. Williams earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green University. He retired  from Elk Brand Manufacturing in Cadiz and Hopkinsville as Office/Plant Manager after 47 years of service. Mr. Williams was a devoted member of Cadiz Baptist Church, where he served on the finance committee and as church treasurer for more than 30 years.

He is survived by one son, Steve (Altagracia) Williams of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one daughter, Dr. Tamela Williams (Dr. Douglas) Smith of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Erika (Gabriel) Rivera, Charlie Williams, Steven (Shelby) Williams, Jr., and Morgan Maxwell (Erik Haslinger); four great grandchildren, Noelle Rivera, Lincoln Rivera, Milly Williams, and Grady Williams; one brother, Ronald (Glenda) Williams of Bowling Green; one sister, Faye Labor of Hopkinsville; and special friend, Carolyn Kingins of Cerulean, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Myrtle Davis Williams, and one brother-in-law, Robert Labor.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017.  Funeral services will be at Cadiz Baptist Church, 82 Main Street in Cadiz, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017, with Reverend Kyle Noffsinger officiating. The family will also receive friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Friday.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, 1209 Fairview Avenue, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42103.

Steve, So sorry about Charles. He was a good man, bank customer for a lot of years, and a great friend. He was a gem and a one of a kind. He always had something nice to say, and he had a dry, funny wit about him that always made you laugh! I think he must have been a prankster at some point in his life! My Condolences my friend.
