Billy "Moose" Morris

Billy "Moose" Morris, age 69, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at his home in Cadiz, KY.  Billy "Moose" Morris retired from BellSouth Telephone Co. after 33 years of service and in recent years owned and operated Billy Moose Bar-B-Que in Cadiz, KY.  He was a member of Linton United Methodist Church in Linton, KY where he served in the United Methodist Men's group.  He had served in the US Army, a former member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Cadiz Bass Club & had served with the Pennyrile Emmaus Community & Western Kentucky Tres Dias. He is survived by: Wife - Sherry McNichols Morris, Cadiz, KY, Two Sons- William "Billy" Morris, II, Springfield, TN, Colby Morris & wife Staci, Newburgh, IN, One Brother - Charles Morris & wife Jenny, Cadiz, KY, Uncle - Frank Freeman, Cadiz, KY, Several Nieces & Nephews.  He was preceded in death by:  Father - Charles Barr Morris & Mother - Elsie Freeman Morris.  Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015.  Funeral  Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 with the Reverend Kenny Rogers & Reverend Greg McNichols officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cadiz, KY. 

Memorial Contributions can be made to: Wells Project, CBN Ministries, C/O-Linton United Methodist Church, Church Treasurer, 202 West Ave., Cadiz, KY 42211.  CBN builds family and community wells to provide clean, reliable water in needy regions of Africa and Asia.  Since 1999, over millions of people have benefitted from the more than 14,000 wells completed. As part of his resolutions for 2015, Billy "Moose" wanted to provide funds to construct one of these "life giving" wells.  Please honor him with a donation to this worthy cause.
