Bettie A. Herndon

Bettie A. Herndon, age 75, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015, at her home in Cadiz, KY.  Mrs. Herndon was a homemaker & member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Cadiz, KY, where she had taught Sunday School for a number of years. She is survived by: Husband of 55 years - Layton Herndon, Cadiz, KY, One Son - Leslie Herndon, Cadiz, KY, One Daughter - Joan Terrell & husband, Marc, Cadiz, KY, Two Grandchildren- Lexie Terrell & Trevor Terrell, Five Brothers- Decatur "DC" Adams, Hopkinsville, KY, Walter "Mort" Adams, Cadiz, KY, Jessie Wayne Adams & wife, Linda, Cadiz, KY, David Ronald Adams & wife, Beth, Madisonville, KY, Elbert Vernen Adams, Cadiz, KY, Two Sisters- Iva Nell West, Cadiz, KY, Martha Lumpkin & husband, James, North Little Rock, AR.  She was preceded in death by: Parents - Benjamin Franklin & Nell Harriett Robertson Adams, Two Brothers- Howard Adams & Frank Walden Adams & One Sister - Jane Mitchell.  Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.  Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 with the Reverend Greg Wells & Reverend Gary Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, KY.  Memorial Contributions can be made to:  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Layton, Leslie and Joan. I'm so sorry. I loved her a lot and will miss her. I know your hearts are heavy. but we all know where she is now. She's a beautiful soul and I will always cherish the talks and laughs I had with her. Love you all and wish you peace. John, Debbie and the girls.
