Barbara L. Quinn, age 67, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at her home in Cadiz. Mrs. Quinn worked as a legal secretary for Cushman, Darby & Cushman, a patent law firm in Washington, DC. Locally, she was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1913 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Barbara enjoyed the outdoors. You would often find her fishing for catfish or working the soil in her garden at her home. She also enjoyed quilting and was a gifted artist who composed many artistic pieces that she would share with family members.
She is survived by her husband, Albert "Al" Quinn, Cadiz; one son, Robert H. Quinn (Marie), Manlius, New York; three daughters, Angela Quinn, Salt Lake City, Utah, Kelly Ballan (Jimmy), Baltimore, Maryland, and Renate Killian, Park City, Utah; one brother, Dennis Wallace, Elkhorn City, Kentucky; three sisters, Sondra Wallace, Cadiz, Diana Rowe (James), Elkhorn City, and Tammy Bentley (Paul), Shelbiana, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarida and Lou Wellman Wallace.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2017. The funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. at 12:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2017, with the Reverend Norman Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
