Bennie Allen, age 85, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at his home.  Mr. Allen was owner and operator of the former Pioneer Radio and T.V.

Linda L. Taylor

Linda L.Taylor, age 77, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky.  Mrs. Taylor previously worked at Elk Brand Manufacturing in Cadiz and later retired after working 20 years as a custodian at the Trigg County Schools System.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Hans Buijk

Hans Buijk, age 67, of Burna, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.  Mr. Buijk was a retired factory worker and an artisan wood carver, a skill he had learned at the age of six.  He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion.

Juanita Jewell Daugherty

Juanita Jewell Daugherty, age 80, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky.  Mrs. Daugherty retired from the Henry S. Evans Elementary School after working 20 years as a cook in the school cafeteria.  She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Myrtle C. Harper

Myrtle C. Harper, age 84, of Kuttawa, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Covington's Convalescent Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  Mrs. Harper was a homemaker, an excellent cook, and a skilled seamstress.  She also worked on the family dairy farm alongside her late husband Woodson.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton, Kentucky, and a former long-time member of Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church where she served as church secretary.

William "Bill" Young, Jr.

William "Bill" Young, Jr., age 98, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson.  Mr. Young worked as a beverage delivery driver for Manion Beverage/Working Beverage in Evansville, Indiana for over 34 years.  He was a United States Army veteran who served during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded a Bronze Star.  Mr.

Andrew Cross

Andrew Vincent Cross, age 50, of Oak Grove, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at his home in Oak Grove.  Sergeant Cross was active in the Tennessee Army National Guard and was most recently assigned to Troop B Support Squadron, 278th ACR, as a heavy diesel mechanic.  Prior to his National Guard assignment, SGT Cross served in the Regular Army, with tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Mary Dean Feltner Futrell

A celebration of life will be held for Mary Dean Feltner Futrell at noon, 12:00 PM CST, Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Rock Front Baptist Church, 3211 Linton Road (Highway 164) outside of Cadiz.  Dr. Futrell passed away July 17, 2017, in Nashville after a brief illness at age 93.

George Choate

George Odell Choate, age 74, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, at his home in Cadiz.  Mr. Choate worked as an independent painting contractor at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky for more than 30 years.  He was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam era, from 1964 - 1966.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Lisa Williams

Lisa Williams, age 53, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.  Mrs. Williams was employed as a vendor stocker at the Ft.

Matthew "Loupie" Lambruno

Matthew "Loupie" Lambruno, age 26, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, in Cadiz.  Mr. Lambruno was a crane operator and member of Local 181 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.  He was also a member of the American Motorcross Association and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Davis, West Virginia.  "Loupie" was a 2008 graduate of Trigg County High School.

Kim Massey Campbell

Kim Massey Campbell, age 58, of Princeton, Kentucky, a long time resident of Todd County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at her home in Princeton.  Mrs.

John D. Reimer

John D. Reimer, age 65, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at his home in Cadiz.  Mr. Reimer was employed as a Safety Coordinator at D&W Fine Pack in Cadiz.  He previously worked at Lake Barkley State Resort Park in Trigg County and also volunteered at the golf course there.  Mr. Reimer was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by three brothers, Don Brashear (Vicki), Altoona, Iowa, Paul Reimer (Debbie), Newark, Ohio, and Matt Reimer, Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Cheryl Brashear, Altoona, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

Hattie Fort Hammortree

Hattie Fort Hammortree, age 93, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Princeton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Princeton, Kentucky.  Mrs. Hammortree was a member East Cadiz Baptist Church; the Thomas-Bridges Association; Trigg County Hospital Auxiliary; and Ophelia Chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star, where she had served as chaplain.

She is survived by one son, Carl Blane Fort, Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Sylvia Calhoun Myrtlye (James), Gilbert, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Terry Moss

Terry Moss, age 60, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in Trigg County.  Mr. Moss was a truck driver who worked as an independent contractor for more than 30 years.  He was a volunteer at Micah Mission Center in Hopkinsville where he served weekly.  Terry was also a member of Cadiz United Methodist Church where he was an active member of the Methodist Men's Group and the SPR Committee.
